The Gwangju Biennale is one of the most important artistic events in the world and the leading event of its kind in Asia. Each edition attracts over 1.5 million visitors, including members of the art world—curators, collectors, art enthusiasts, and artists from across the globe.
During the 13th edition, held this year under the title “Minds Rising, Spirits Tuning,” seven works by Zofia Rydet from the series “The World of Feelings and Imagination” are being presented. Curator Natasha Ginwala first encountered the artist’s work in 2019 during a study visit to Poland organized by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
